Listen at the 30 second mark. Mom goes “no” – Dad poops on himself, plays like he is offended when the child is asked again.

The explanation dad gives for why Falcon didn’t come out when he heard people calling his name didn’t make any sense. I think he was making it up as he went.
PUBLICITY SEEKERS ! ! !
Mother makes up a story for national TV:
thinks her son can hide in “small drawers” – yeah right.
Listen at 1:47
Mother: “We searched any, anyplace, that even the small drawers and, um, possibly Falcon can fitted in any, any part of house, and we couldn’t find him, and also we searched, uh, his friends houses he might be visiting, um, we went through possible, any places, so….”
It does look like it is a hoax and sadly the parents are probably in trouble with the authorities. It could have just been a stunt that got out of hand…
It’s obvious to any one trained to read body language that the Mom seems to
be the one coaching the child with her eye and head movements as to what the
child is encouraged and discouraged to say about the whole sordid affair. The two children in the middle are confused as they now look back in forth between Mom and Dad because one seems to have given up while the other (Mom) doesn’t want to give up on the fiasco just yet. The second half of the video is simple ad libbing. and is pretty much useless now that the truth has been discovered. After the child spills the beans, all Dad can utter is “You didn’t come out?” If it was my kid or anyone elses, they would have said, “What show? What are you talking about?” The saddest part of this whole story is that the kids were taught to lie, encouraged to lie, without fear or consequence. And I hear the Sherriff is completely convinced the parents are innocent!
I think they should at LEAST be charged $$ for the expenses the counties put out chasing that stupid balloon. At the very least, they should pay the costs! I don’t necessarily think the family should be split up by child protective services as is being talked about on the news. The ONLY good thing I can think of that came out of this is that for a few hours last Thursday afternoon, most of the country was focused on and praying for this little guy. Nobody was thinking about B.O. and his forced health care program, or cap & trade, or anything political. Just trying to keep good thoughts about that little boy. And he IS ok. Granted, it was a hoax and he’s probably confused as all get-out, but he’s physically fine.
